The new XC-HR70 is a compact, lightweight, black and white video camera incorporating the latest 1/3 Type Interline Transfer (IT) Progressive Scan CCD with HAD technology. The XC-HR70 features a remarkable XGA resolution of 1034 (H) x 779 (V) pixels and incorporates a C-mount type lens mount. The XC-HR70 can capture high-resolution images at 29 f/s and is ideal for demanding applications such as semiconductor production and high speed assembly line inspection.

    The sony XC-HR70 has High-rate function just same as the sony XC-HR50 has. By controlling the vertical transmission pulse width of CCD, High-rate scanning is realized; effective video output lines are scanned at normal speed, ineffective video output lines are scanned at high speed.The start of one frame section and the end of blanking period, both of which are essential to set for High-rate function, can be prescribed by one VD signal.Vertical imaging area is narrowed down to the middle range, the number of effective video output lines varies according to frame rates. The frame rate can be freely set using pulse-cycle input from external.Maximum approx.100 fps video output is possible and in this case, the number of effective video output lines is approx.100 lines.

    The sony XC-HR70 inherits the following three modes that are incorporated in current models.
    -Restart/Reset
    -External trigger: Mode 1 (Non-reset mode)
    -External trigger: Mode 2 (Reset mode)

    The sony XC-HR70 follows the cross-sectional shape of conventional Factory Automation cameras such as the sony XC-55 series and ES series, which enables easy installation and replacement into FA machines.All of basic settings are controllable by switches etc. on the rear panel. Since the connector conforms to the new EIAJ 12-pin assignment, the sony XC-HR70 can accept trigger pulse and WEN signal by new pin arrangement.As for the lens, the sony XC-HR70 supports generic C-mount lenses.
