The Sony SNC-EP550 IP camera has pan-tilt-zoom functions that allow it to view large areas which require a lot of detail to be captured. An on-board SD card slot also provides an alternative recording solution.
The Sony SNC-EP550 indoor network camera is capable of capturing high-quality video at HD720p resolution, combined with powerful optical zoom to help deliver high quality even of objects in the distance. DEPA analytic technology helps to refine imagery by allowing areas to be masked and factors such as swaying tree branches to be ignored, saving on bandwidth and ensuring no crucial event is missed.
Pan-tilt-zoom technology helps the camera to monitor a wider area, ideal for keeping watch on large indoor areas such as department stores. A built-in infrared-cut filter switches the camera from full color to black and white during periods of low-light to allow surveillance to continue around the clock when used with an infrared light source (sold separately).
The camera has a built-in SD card slot, providing an alternative recording solution in case of network failure or if more localized storage is required. Power over Ethernet compatibility allows the camera to receive network connectivity as well as power using a single cat5 cable, helping to significantly reduce wiring costs.
