The Watec WAT-230VIVID G3.8 consists of a miniature board camera encased in a protective housing and equipped with a 3.8mm lens. A board camera is most often used in covert monitoring environments, but also presents a viable solution for various other security and non-security related CCTV applications, who for whatever reason, find themselves in need of an ultra compact camera solution. Although small in design, this camera features a CCD imager and employs a number of internal controls to maintain optimum performance in a variety of lighting environments. For added versatility, the included lens can be swapped for any one of Watec's line of miniature glass lenses.
Optional Active Visual Mate
Built into the camera are a myriad of functions that can be accessed using the optional Active Visual Mate. With this device users will be able to access and change such settings as gain, shutter speeds, back light compensation, outliner enhancer, mirror image and color/monochrome selection. Camera settings can be saved to the AVM's internal memory and then uploaded to any other VIVID model camera. The Active Visual Mate features a backlit display, includes a power supply and also operates on AA batteries.
