The Sony IPELA SNC-RH124 is a compact IP camera which is tough enough to be mounted in exposed areas without risk of damage from vandalism, such as shopping malls and transport terminals. The casing of the camera is IK10-rated to withstand knocks and shocks, while video footage at full HD1080p resolution is created, ideal for capturing facial features for identification.
Sony surveillance software is bundled with the camera, letting users store surveillance evidence at no additional cost. Recording capacity is further maximized with H.264 video compression, cutting footage sizes by up to 80% without impacting on image quality, as well as DEPA intelligent motion detection, sensing and evaluating objects in view rather than motion to reduce false alarms.
The camera can provide clear security footage both in daylight and in low-light conditions using a switchable infrared(IR)-cut filter, providing color footage during the day and monochrome video at night (IR lighting required for night monitoring). Installation is very easy using the camera's Easy Focus and Easy Zoom features, allowing installers to quickly set the camera's view using the integrated push buttons. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support also reduces cabling required by merging data and power for transmission over the network cable.
